Ingredients to cook the toor dhal in pressure cooker for 3 whistle :-
toor dhal -1/4 cup
turmeric powder
tomato -3
green chili -2
water - as required
To make rasam powder fry and grind coarsely :-
pepper - 1 tsp
coriander seed- 1 tsp
dry chilly,green chili -1,1
cumin powder - 1 tsp
garlic 4 counts
To saute :-

oil , ghee - 1 tablespoon ,1 tsp

mustard seed -

dry red chili - 3

Chopped Tomato -2

rasam powder with Hing powder

tamarind - lemon size (soak this in 1 cup of water)

finally add cooked toor dhal
How to do :
Cook the toor dal in pressure cooker with the ingredients.( see above )
Soak a lemon size tamarind in 1cup of water
Next take a dosa pan or iron kadai to fry the rasam powder ingredients, see 2nd one and do it like powder coarsely . Finally mix hing powder in this powder.
To start making rasam - keep a kadai, add oil and ghee once oil is heated just add mustard seed after it split out add dry red chili . Then saute tomato for a few minutes , add rasam powder with hing powder , tamarind water and cook for 2 minutes .Then finally add cooked toor dhal with water , coriander leaf .Finally keep heat it for 2 minutes . switch off the stove and enjoy it with rice.
